What does Dev Mode add to a handoff?
Figma describes Dev Mode as a developer-focused space for inspecting properties, viewing generated code, downloading assets and comparing changes. Those functions help a developer interpret the design; they do not establish that the final application has been implemented or tested.
Identify who will design, review and implement the work. Make sure the intended recipient can access the relevant file and the inspection features needed for the handoff.

Use a small, illustrative screen containing a plan card, price, duration and action button. Make the underlying decisions visible so the developer does not need to guess how it should behave.
- Show the default card plus long-name, missing-information and unavailable states.
- Specify layout behavior on narrow and wide screens instead of supplying only one fixed-width image.
- Name reusable components and document text, spacing and interaction states.
- List exportable assets, label the reviewed version and record remaining questions next to the relevant component.
Validate the implementation against the design
After implementation, compare the real page at mobile and desktop widths. Test keyboard focus, text wrapping and links. Inspecting a design or copying a generated code snippet does not replace this review.
